ALFRED V. GIROT Jr.
A funeral was held Monday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael for Alfred V. Girot Jr., a longtime Kentfield resident.
Mr. Girot, 74, died Friday at Marin General Hospital.
He was a third-generation native of San Francisco and had lived in Kentfield since 1946.
Mr. Girot and his brother, George, headed Schneider Bros. in San Francisco, a family fur business established in 1908.
He was a member of the Sons in Retirement and the 47.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Girot of Kentfield; two daughters, Carol Smith of Walnut Creek and Dee Parker of Petaluma; a brother, George F. Girot of Greenbrae; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be private.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 116 John St., No. 417, New York, N.Y., 10038, or Parkinson’s Disease Educational Program, 1800 Park, Newport Beach, Calif. 92660.
