Killed When Auto Tire Bursts
One of the saddest Automobile accidents which has occurred in Marin county for a long time occurred Thursday night when George Doran of San Francisco was killed.
The accident occurred on the old county road between Alto and Corte Madera and was caused by a blow out of a tire. The car, a large limousine, belonged to J. K. Armsby, a well known resident of Ross, and was occupied by George Montgomery, his wife and baby, Miss Josephine McDonough and William Griffin Jr., all of San Francisco.
The car was driven by Mr. Montgomery, chauffer for Mr. Armsby.
As soon as the accident occurred the wounded were rushed to San Rafael hospitals and none were seriously injured except Mr. Doran who was instantly killed. So far as learned no blame is attached to anybody. As soon as Mr. Armsby heard of the accident he made every effort to see that the injured were properly cared for.
