VELMA RAMSEY
A private memorial service for Velma Ramsey of Mill Valley will be held next week. Mrs. Ramsey, 97, died Wednesday at Bayside Convalescent Hospital in Greenbrae.
She was born in Cottondale, Texas, and moved to California in 1923. She lived in Oregon for many years before returning to California in 1967 when she made her home in Mill Valley.
She was an active member of the Church of Christ Science.
She is survived by a son, Henry Ramsey of Mill Valley; a daughter, Pauline Moore of San Rafael; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Chapel of the Chimes.
