BERTEEN M. CARTER
A funeral for Berteen “Bea” M. Carter of Novato will be held at 1 p.m. today at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Mrs. Carter, 84, died Thursday at Hill Road Convalescent Hospital in Novato.
She was born in Michigan and moved to California in 1918.
She was a cook and last worked at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in San Francisco.
She is survived by two daughters, Emmaline Williams of Willits, Mendocino County, and May Kelly of Sault St. Marie, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great great-granddaughter.
Her husband, John Carter, preceded her in death.
Burial will be private.
