HILDEGARD JOHNSTON
Hildegard Johnston, a 25-year resident of Novato, died Friday, May 6, 1988, after being rushed to Novato Community Hospital from the Tamalpais Creek Senior Residence.
She was 83 and had been ill for some time.
Mrs. Johnston lived and worked as a receptionist at the Animal Clinic of Novato for many years before moving to the senior center.
She was born in Raymond, Neb., and grew up there and in Paul, Ida. She also had lived in Wyoming and Oregon before moving to Novato in 1963.
Mrs. Johnston had been active with the Novato Senior Citizens before her illness.
Her husband, George C. Johnston, died earlier.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Raymond G. Johnston, a Novato veterinarian; her daughter, Carleen Darling of Walnut; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
At Mrs. Johnston’s request, there will be no service. Burial will be in Paul, Idaho.
