MARION L. ‘Slim’ WILLIAMS
Marion L. “Slim” Williams, a resident of Marin for more than 70 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1987, at a nursing home in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was 81.
Mr. Williams was born in Cummings, Mendocino County. He first came to Marin in 1910, when his family moved into a home in the town of San Quentin.
He remained in the San Rafael area until moving to Colorado Springs two years ago.
Mr. Williams was a truck driver for Kelloggs Express in San Rafael for more than 30 years. He also did yard maintenance work at Hamilton Air Force Base for several years.
He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Williams is survived by a daughter, Jane Newman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Ernest Williams of Gasquet, Calif., Irven Willliams of Novato and Harold Williams of Olympia, Wash.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
No services will be conducted.
