GEORGE L. KEEGAN

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco for George Keegan of San Rafael.

Mr. Keegan died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 23, 1987, at Marin General Hospital. He was 80.

He was born and reared in San Francisco. During the 1950s and 1960s, he lived in San Mateo. About 15 years ago, he moved to San Rafael to become one of the first residents of the Martinelli House on Lincoln Avenue.

For many years, Mr. Keegan worked in the advertising department of the old San Francisco Call-Bulletin. He retired 22 years ago.

During World War II, he served in the Army.

Surviving are a sister, Lucille Withe of San Francisco, and a brother, Mervyn Keegan of Redwood City.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at the McAvoy and O’Hara-Evergreen Mortuary at Geary Boulevard and 10th Avenue, San Francisco.

Burial will be at Holy Cross cemetery in Colma.

The family prefers memorial donations to the Oznam Center of St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1175 Howard St., San Francisco, or Sisters of the Presentation, 2340 Turk St., San Francisco, 94118.
