Mistake In Bottle Causes Death
Mistaking a bottle of oxalic acid for Epsom salts last night, Mrs. Eva Himmelstoss, wife of George Himmelstoss, of Larkspur, drank from the bottle and died from poisoning ten minutes later.
She was well known in Larkspur and prominent in local fraternal affairs, being an active member of Corte Madera Circle No. 634, Women of Woodcraft.
The funeral will e held tomorrow from the Himmelstoss residence, and will be private. A requiem mass will be said at St. Patrick’s church.
She was the mother of George Himmelstoss Jr., Mrs. C. E. Snow, Mrs. George L. Hauser and Mrs. Lester Newman. She was 63 years of age.
