HERBERT SCOTT-SMITH
Lt. Col. Herbert Scott-Smith of San Rafael died Monday at Letterman General Hospital at the Presidio of San Francisco after a lengthy illness. He was 68.
Lt. Col. Scott-Smith, a native of Connecticut, had lived in San Rafael since 1960. He had had a 20-year career with the Army, serving in Europe during World War II. He retired in 1960.
Lt. Col. Scott-Smith was a member of the Retired Officers Association in Marin.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Scott-Smith of San Rafael; a son, Roger Scott-Smith of Sausalito; a daughter, Wendy Jean Scott-Smith of Palo Alto; a brother, Al Scott-Smith of Vermont; and his stepmother, Martha Scott-Smith of Mesa, Ariz.
At his request there will be no service.
