LAURENCE H. VANTREASE
A Mass of Christian Burial for Laurence H. Vantrease, 63, of Novato, was to be held today at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.
He died at his Novato home after a long illness.
He was a native of San Rafael. He moved to Novato, from San Rafael, in the early 1940s.
Mr. Vantrease worked as a building contractor in Marin County.
He was a charter member of VFW Post No. 7816 of Novato.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Vantrease of Novato; a daughter, Linda Vantrease of San Rafael; four sons, Larry Vantrease and Mark Vantrease of Novato, Jerry Vantrease of Susanville and Jim Vantrease of Novato; three sisters, Dorothy Trenam of Novato, Hazel Eggers of San Rafael and Marie Ferguson of Springfield, Ore.; two brothers, Art Vantrease of San Diego and Harry Vantrease of San Rafael; and one grandson.
Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato is handling the arrangements. Burial will be private.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin.
