RICHARD JOSEPH SLATTERY
A Mass of Christian Burial was to be celebrated today at St. Isabella’s Church in Terra Linda for Richard Joseph Slattery of San Rafael.
Mr. Slattery, 65, died Saturday at home.
He was a native of San Francisco.
Mr. Slattery was a member of VFW Post No. 90 in San Francisco and a third-degree Knight of Columbus in Chapter No. 1292 in San Rafael.
He was also a member of the California State Employees Association.
Mr. Slattery is survived by his wife, Mary K. Slattery of San Rafael; a son, James Slattery; two daughters, Kathryn Rato and Teri Slattery; two brothers, John Slattery of San Francisco and Robert Slattery of San Rafael; and a sister, Kay Heitman of Oxnard.
Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the Cancer Research Foundation, University of California Hospital, Third and Parnassus Avenues, San Francisco or the Nazareth House, 250 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the July 29 paper mentions the Mr. Slattery was predeceased by a son, Richard G. Slattery, and a sister, Marie McCarthy. He was the father-in-law of James Rato. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
