JAMES C. STRICKLAND
The funeral for James C. Strickland, a longtime Marin resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Chapel mortuary in Novato.
Mr. Strickland, 71, died Sunday in Reno.
He had been retired from the Air Force after 20 years and had worked recently as a maintenance worker at the Navy Exchange at Hamilton Air Force Base.
He had lived in Marin for many years.
Mr. Strickland was a member of the Marin Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; a stepdaughter, Barbara Percosan of Santa Rosa; a stepson, John Lowery of Novato; three sisters, Deyo Broadrick of Georgia, and Mrs. Walter Phillips and Mary Frances Morgan, both of Tennessee; two brothers, John and Tom Strickland of Georgia; six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
