CLYDE JAMES CURLEY Jr.
Clyde James Curley Jr. of Mill Valley, longtime Marin resident, died Thursday at Marin General Hospital after a long illness. He was 64.
Mr. Curley was a native of Rhode Island. He came to San Francisco as a child and attended Lowell High School.
Mr. Curley graduated summa cum laude from Stanford University in 1943. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa.
He moved to Marin County in 1951.
Mr. Curley was associated until 1970 with Curley-Bates Co., a wholesale sporting goods company in Burlingame.
In 1972 he became treasurer of CRENT Containers in San Francisco, a position he held until his death.
His survivors include his wife, Lorraine Nicholson Curley of Mill Valley; three sons, Clyde J. Curley III of Corte Madera, William N. Curley of Yakima, Wash., and Kevin M. Curley of Petaluma; four brothers, Robert G. Curley of Los Altos, William L. Curley of San Rafael, Jack R. Curley of San Rafael and Charles H. Curley of Larkspur; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church in Kentfield.
The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
