Death of James Monroe Smith
James Monroe Smith, who came here from San Francisco about two weeks ago in ill health and with the hope of staying the ravages of tuberculosis from which he was suffering, died Saturday at his home, No. 4 Bay View street.
Mr. Smith was 34 years of age, a member of the San Francisco local of the Barbers’ Union, and Aerie No. 61, Fraternal Order of Eagles. He leaves a widow. The remains were shipped by Dr. F. E. Sawyer to San Francisco for burial.
