MARGARET J. BELL
The funeral for Margaret J. Bell, 67, a longtime resident of Marin, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Novato.
Mrs. Bell died Monday at Novato General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Minnesota. She moved to San Rafael in 1950, and later to Novato.
Mrs. Bell was a graduate of San Jose High School and San Jose State University, where she was a member of the Sappho Sorority and other women’s organizations.
She also attended Healds Business College in San Jose and t hen worked as a secretary for the old American Trust Bank in San Jose.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the Marin Women’s Credit Association, Eastern Star and the Marin Golf and County Club.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her husband, Charles C. Bell of Novato; a daughter, Sheri Kahn of Arizona; a son, Scott Bell of San Rafael; a sister, Verna Graf of Burlingame; two brothers, Wayne Greenfield of Carmel and Charles Greenfield of Redding; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of Marin.
