Death Visits Seiler Family Twice In Month
Death for the second time in a few weeks brought sorrow to the Seiler family with the passing away Saturday of Paul Seiler in San Francisco, where he had been engaged for several years in the mercantile business.
A month ago the death of Adolph Paul Seiler, an only son, occurred in this city, after a brief illness.
Mr. Seiler Sr. was ill but a short time, but physicians announced that the illness might prove fatal and the members of the family were present at the end. He was well known here, where he made his home for two or three years, and his surviving children, some of whom still make Marin county their home, are also well known.
The funeral was held Tuesday from the Masonic Temple in San Francisco under the auspices of Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 44, F. and A. M., of which he was a member. The interment was in Cypress Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Seiler was 69 years of age and was a native of Berlin, Germany. He is survived by his widow, Alice C. Seiler, two sisters, Mrs. L. Myers of Tulare, this state, and Mrs. Pauline Ryder, of Fairhaven, Mass.; Mrs. Clara Pape, Mrs. Louise Malone and Mrs. Hazel Vallejo, daughters.
