Death of Pioneer of Northern Marin

Henry E. Lawrence, of Petaluma, a pioneer and well known resident of the Tomales and Petaluma section, died at his home in Petaluma a few days ago. He was about 86 years of age and was one of the well-to-do and highly respected citizens. His will has been filed for probate by Attorney F. A. Cromwell. It was dated July 27, 1909, when the deceased was aged 81 years, was filed for probate in the Superior Court at Santa Rosa on Friday morning by F. A. Cromwell, the attorney for the estate, and the value of the estate is given at $16,875 (sic). The widow has been named executrix of the estate to serve without bonds.

The heirs of the estate, which consists of $5000 in real estate and $11,875 in bank stock, are the widow, a son, J. W. Lawrence, and the two daughters, Mrs. Linne Dalton and Mrs. Myrtle Winans.

The son receives twenty-five shares of bank stock and the widow receives twenty five shares of the stock of the Tomales bank, the residence and its furnishings and the horse and buggy, while the remainder of the estate is left to the two daughters, share and share alike.

If any of the heirs of the estate chooses to contest the will and do not win, they will receive only $25.

Considerable property was deeded away by the deceased during his life time.
