Death Calls For Walter M. Gill

Scores of the friends of Walter M. Gill were grieved last Thursday to hear of his death at Burke’s Sanatorium near Santa Rosa.

Gill for many years was prominent here in labor circles. He was taken ill about a year ago and spent some weeks in a local hospital. Recovering to some extent, he was able to be out for a time, but was soon stricken again. He had been at the Sonoma county sanatorium for about two months.

The funeral was held Sunday at Sawyer’s Parlors here, and the remains were cremated. Gill was 58 years of age.
