MINNIE APPERSON
Minnie Apperson, a longtime Marin resident and former salesclerk at Macy’s in San Rafael, died Sunday at the Hill Road Convalescent Hospital in Novato after a lengthy illness. She was 73.
Mrs. Apperson was born in Hickory, Okla., and had lived in Marin for about 50 years.
She worked as a salesclerk at the Macy’s store for 30 years, starting when it still was Albert’s department store.
Her husband, Master Sgt. Walter M. Apperson, died in 1975.
Mrs. Apperson is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bradley of Novato; a son, Jess Apperson of the state of Washington; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Redwood Chapel in Novato. Burial will be at the Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
