JOHN F. BRIDGES
John F. Bridges, a retired correctional officer at San Quentin Prison, died Saturday in a Vallejo hospital after a long illness. He was 75.
Bridges lived at 10087 Redwood Highway, Cotati, the past four years. He was born in Pomona, Mo., and lived in San Quentin Village for 25 yeas while serving as a correctional officer.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Lola Stephens, Mrs. Bessie Dinger, Mrs. Ethel Abethany and Mrs. Ruby Maxwell of West Plains, Mo., and four brothers, Henry and Amos of Pomona, Mo., Leslie of Yountville, and Oscar Bridges of San Rafael.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Services will also be held at the Carter Funeral Chapel, West Plains, Mo.
