LEON R. SCHINAZI Jr.

Leon Richard Schinazi Jr., 42, of 145 Deer Hollow Road, Sleepy Hollow, president of Overseas Central Enterprises, a San Francisco import firm, died at home in his sleep today after a sudden illness.

A native of Shanghai, China, where his parents, Co. and Mrs. L. R. Schinazi were stationed, he came to the Unites States in 1936. He had lived in California for 30 years and in Marin County for 16 years.

He served as a major in the Army in Africa and Europe during World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; three sons, Richard, Michael and Joseph Schinazi; his parents, who are living in Greenbrae, and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Witts of San Anselmo.

Requiem Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rita’s Church in Fairfax. Burial will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in Colma.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.

Contributions to the Heart Assn. are preferred by the family.
