A. J. Martella, one of the popular young men of northwestern Marin county, died at the family home in Inverness Sept. 4th, 1908. He was born at Olema May 7th, 1882, and for a long time was a trusted employee in Mr. Martinelli’s store at Olema. He was a prominent Druid, being a past Noble Arch of Olema Grove, and was a delegate to the late grand grove.
He was a son of Mrs. Adeline Martella and brother of Ada, Emma, Romeo and Lillian Martella.
He was a young man highly respected, and the funeral was largely attended, more than sixty carriages being in line, with over a hundred Druids and Foresters. The funeral services were conducted by father Land.
