ELOY CHAVEZ
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eloy Chavez of San Rafael was celebrated Saturday at the Mission San Rafael Arcangel.
Mr. Chavez died Friday at Marin General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 33.
He worked in the construction industry.
Mr. Chavez was born in Mexico and moved to Marin County 10 years ago. He had lived in Forest Knolls before moving to San Rafael.
He is survived by his wife, Beatriz Chavez of San Rafael; a daughter, Sandra Chavez of San Rafael; his mother, Florentina Trujillo of Mexico; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Burial was at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
