MABLE J. WHITE

A private funeral has been held for Mable J. White of Kentfield, a former dean of girls at Tamalpais High School.

Miss White died Friday at Bayside Convalescent Hospital in Kentfield at the age of 96. Miss White, a native of Ione, Amador County, had lived in Marin most of her life.

For many years, she was dean of girls at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley before retiring in 1942. She was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.

There are no immediate survivors.
