Death Takes Nicasio Pioneer
Funeral of Wm. T. Farley Largest Held Here in Years

Sorrowing relatives, admirers and life long friends from all sections of Marin county and the bay cities paid their last respects Tuesday to William T. Farley of Nicasio, who died last Saturday in San Francisco after a long illness.

The large gathering was a silent but eloquent tribute to the great esteem in which Mr. Farley was held. It is probably that in all this county there is no person who knows aught but good in the life of the deceased. A pioneer, he had lived most of his life in this county, where he had reared a large family, all but one of whom survive him.

The remains were kept at Sawyer’s Parlors until the hour of the funeral, when the large cortege went to St. Raphael’s church for the service. The sermon was preached by the Rev. Father Ri?lander of Olema. Interment was made in Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.

The pall bearers were taken from among the close friends and life long associates of the deceased. They were Frank and James Rodgers of Nicasio, Louis Newman and Frank Mussie of San Francisco, Charles Salmina of Marshall, and John Daly of San Rafael.

Mr. Farley was the husband of Margaret Farley, the father of Frank, William, Bessie, Maylon, May and Tillman Farley, Mrs. Silva Irving and the late Lester Farley. He was the brother of Robert, Milton, Maylon, Joseph and Miranda Farley, Mrs. Malvina Davidson, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Mrs. Rebecca Jones and the late Mrs. Jeff Thompson. He was 65 years of age.
