RANDY SCHAFFER
A private service was held for Randy Schaffer of Fairfax, a maintenance worker with the Marin County parks department.
He died at his home Friday after a short illness. He was 33.
He was born in San Rafael and lived in Fairfax and Woodacre his entire life.
He previously worked for the state parks department on Mount Tamalpais.
Mr. Schaffer graduated from Drake High School in San Anselmo.
Survivors are his parents, Hilma and Norman Schaffer of Sebastopol.
The family prefers contributions to the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma County.
