Bee Sting Causes Death of Young Man
The funeral of Jacob H. Goerl, who died Tuesday at his home in St. Helena, will be held tomorrow from Eden’s Undertaking parlors on C street. From the parlors the cortege will go to St. Raphael’s church where a requiem mass will be said. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Death was caused from the poison resulting from a bee sting. A year ago Mr. Goerl was made extremely ill from a similar cause. He died within an hour after being stung by the insect.
The deceased was well known here. He was the son of the late Fritz Goerl and Mrs. Josephine Goerl. He leaves a widow and a small daughter. He was 31 years of age.
