ERNEST BRAUEN
Ernest Brauen of San Rafael died Thursday at Rafael Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael at the age of 80.
Mr. Brauen had lived in San Rafael for four years. He was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland. Mr. Brauen then came to San Francisco where he lived for 55 years.
He was a grocery store owner in San Francisco until his retirement in 1970. Mr. Brauen was an avid fisherman.
Survivors are a daughter, Judith Stack of San Anselmo; and a brother, Henry Brauen of San Rafael.
At his request, there will be no service.
