WILDA DERRYBERRY
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Tamalpais in Greenbrae for Wilda Wallace Derryberry, one of the original residents of the retirement home.
Mrs. Derryberry, 85, died Monday at The Tamalpais after a long illness.
She was born in Cicero, Ill., and came to California in 1960.
She had lived in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties before moving into The Tamalpais 15 years ago.
She attended the University of Colorado and Northwestern University and was an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority for 65 years. She also was a member of the American Association of University Women.
Her husband, Charles Wayne Derryberry, died in 1969.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilda Jane Ballaseux of Kent Woodlands; a son, James Ward Derryberry of Tiburon; and five grandchildren.
