MARGUERITE THOMPSON
A memorial service will be held Saturday in Seattle for Marguerite Thompson, a special education teacher and former Marin resident.
Mrs. Thompson, 44, died Saturday in New Zealand after a long illness. She died the day she was to return to Marin after living three years in New Zealand.
She was born in Seattle and moved to Marin with her family 20 yeas ago. Mrs. Thompson also had lived in Kuwait.
In Marin, she had worked as a special education teacher in the Marin County Probation Department.
She is survived by her husband, Duane C. Thompson; two daughters, Cindy Marmo and Maureen Thompson; and one grandson, all of San Rafael; her mother, Pearl Huson; and six sisters and brothers, all of Seattle.
A service also will be held in New Zealand.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
