Orinda Motorist Succumbs In Car
A 47-year-old motorist from Orinda died of an apparent heart attack about 1 p.m. yesterday after parking his south-bound car on the shoulder of Highway 101 at Ignacio.
The victim, Frederick A. Croci, succumbed before the arrival of an ambulance from nearby Hamilton Air Force Base. His body was taken to Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael, where an autopsy was performed today.
Charles F. Karppi of Berkeley, a passenger in Croci’s car, said Croci complained of chest pains before pulling off the highway near Dusel court.
Croci was an employee of Borden’s Dairy in Oakland. He is survived by his wife, Ruth. Funeral arrangements are pending.
