CARL JOHNSON
A private burial at sea will be held for Carl Johnson, a longtime Mill Valley resident, who died Saturday at Marin General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 90.
Born in Sweden, he came to the United States in 1924 and to Mill Valley in 1951. He was employed as a consulting diesel engineer.
He was a member of the Blue Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons and the Shriners.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Georgina Johnson of Mill Valley; two daughters, Karin O’Connor of Mill Valley and May Clarenbach of Davis; and two grandchildren.
The family prefers that contributions be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital of San Francisco.
