ROBERT G. OLNEY
A memorial service is set for 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Incarnation in Santa Rosa for Robert G. Olney, a Sonoma County social worker and Novato resident.
Mr. Olney, who was 47 years old, died Wednesday of cancer at Novato Community Hospital.
For 15 years, he had worked for the child protective services division of Sonoma’s social services agency.
He was born in Pennsylvania and came to the Bay Area in the late 1960s. He lived in Healdsburg and Sebastopol before moving to Novato about five years ago.
He is survived by a sister, Lucinda S. Olney of Berkeley, and a friend, Sally A. Jensen of Novato.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
