HENRIETTA LEWIS
Henrietta Teverow Feinstein Lewis, a former San Rafael businesswoman, died Sept. 3 in a Southern California hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 81.
Born in Russia, she emigrated to the United States with her family when she was 3. She was educated in Philadelphia, and married Louis Feinstein in 1924. They settled in Petaluma in 1925, operating a poultry ranch for many years.
After the death of her husband in 1950, she owned and operated Henrietta’s Children’s Shop in San Rafael until 1965.
She married James Seamus Lewis in 1961. They lived in Greenbrae, Kentfield and Santa Rosa before moving to Anaheim in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by two sons, Ellis Feinstein of Medford, Ore., and Melvin Feinstein of Petaluma; a sister, Lillian Gorin of Greenbrae; and three grandchildren.
A private memorial service has been held by family members.
