BINK BECKMANN
A memorial service for Bink Beckmann, a Marinwood investment consultant and lecturer, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the family home, 356 Peachstone Terrace.
Mr. Beckmann died Wednesday of a heart attack at his home. He was 60.
For 30 years, he had done investment lecturing and consulting throughout the United States.
He was born in Santa Cruz and grew up in San Francisco and Marin County. He attended the San Rafael Military Academy then graduated from San Jose State University.
After he married, he moved back to Marinwood where he had lived for 28 years. He was a scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America in Marinwood.
He had served in the Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Beckmann was a member of the Marvelous Marin Breakfast Club and Marinwood Homeowners Association.
He is survived by his wife, Coral Kay; three sons, Brice Beckmann of Rohnert Park, Blain Beckmann of San Rafael and Brady Beckmann of Marinwood; a sister, Donya Evans of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a grandson.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Marin Diabetes Association or Marin Chapter of the American Heart Association.
