DAVID CIOCCA

Memorial Mass of the Resurrection for David S. Ciocca, son of the late police judge Guy A. Ciocca, will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael’s Church, San Rafael.

He died Saturday after being overcome by smoke while trying to rescue dogs from his burning home in Vancouver, B.C. He was 36.

Ciocco was born in Ross. He attended St. Raphael’s School, Marin Catholic High School and College of Marin.

After college, he operated a general contracting firm for several years in Sausalito and did landscaping for the shoreline park in Sausalito.

Ciocca moved to Vancouver in 1969 where he met and married Elizabeth Brooks Ciocco who survives him. He owned and operated a landscaping firm there until his death.

His survivors include three children by a former marriage, now living in Utah, two sons, Jeffrey and David, and a daughter, Kimberly; his mother, Mrs. Guy A. Ciocca of Kentfield; and a brother, Dennis G. Ciocca of Corte Madera.

Burial arrangements will be made after his body is returned from Canada.

The family prefers memorial contributions to Hanna Boys Center, P. O. Box 100, Sonoma.
