DONALD CHARLES PETERS
A memorial service for Donald Charles Peters, a Marin native, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church in Sunnyvale.
Mr. Peters, who was 51, died unexpectedly in Sunnyvale Sunday, Aug. 23, 1987.
Mr. Peters was born in Ross and spent part of his childhood in Marin County. He had lived in the San Jose area for more than 20 years.
He was a graduate of Sacramento State University. He was area manager for customer relations of Pacific Bell.
He also was active in numerous organizations. He was president of the Crippled Children’s Society of Santa Clara County, president of the Foundation for KTEH Channel 54, past president of the San Jose Kiwanis Club and chairman of the San Jose Christmas in the Park committee.
Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Elaine; his daughter, Donnell Willis of Larkspur; his son, Neil Peters of Sunnyvale; and six sisters, Lois Genetti of San Anselmo, JoAnn Stuck of Petaluma, Dorothy Dell’Era of Cotati, Marilyn Hoffman of Petaluma, Marjorie Russell of Novato and Helen Campbell of Bonanza, Ore.
Another son, Scott Peters, died previously.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Crippled Children’s Society of Santa Clara County or the San Jose Christmas in the Park project.
