ERNEST J. BURRONI

Ernest Joseph Burroni, a retired newspaper pressman, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1987, at a Mill Valley convalescent hospital after being ill since May. He was 83.

Mr. Burroni was born in San Francisco and lived there as well as in San Anselmo at various times.

He had worked for several newspapers, most recently the San Francisco Examiner. He was very active in the pressmen’s union. He retired at the age of 69.

Mr. Burroni is survived by his wife, Mary Burroni of San Francisco; one son, Gerald F. Burroni of San Anselmo; his sister, Leontine Perez of Millbrae; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in San Francisco. Burial will be private.

The family prefers contributions to a favorite charity.

A paid death notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Ann Goheen, Novato, Carolyn and Clare Burroni of San Anselmo, and Susan Burroni of Ansbach, Germany. He was the great-grandfather of Colin and Derek Goheen. He also was the uncle of Marion Perry of Millbrae.
