FLORENCE BEARD
The funeral for Florence Beard of Marinwood will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
She died Wednesday at Rafael Convalescent hospital at the age of 91.
She had lived in Marinwood for seven years. Mrs. Beard, a native of South Dakota, came to California in 1919, settling in the Stockton area. She and her late husband, Truebert E. Beard, worked as calligraphers. After their retirement, they moved to San Jose.
Mrs. Beard was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and various senior citizen groups in Marin.
Survivors are a son, Kenneth J. Beard of Marinwood; a daughter, Marion LaFuente of Los Angeles; a sister, Margaret Gallagher of Minnesota; four grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose.
