R. N. Goe Victim Of Influenza

Numbered among the victims of the epidemic, R. Nelson Goe, one of the most popular and best known of San Rafael’s service boys, passed away Tuesday at Mather Field, Sacramento.

The word of his death caused shocked surprise among his many friends here, because of the fact that but very few knew of his illness.

Previous to his enlistment in the aviation service a few months ago, he held the position of instructor in the manual training department of the San Rafael public schools. During his residence here he had taken an active part in fraternal lodge work, holding membership in the Marin Lodge No. 191, F. & A.M., and San Rafael Chapter of the Eastern Star, of which he was a past patron.

He leaves a widow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moulton, of San Quentin.

The funeral takes place today under the auspices of the Chico Lodge of Masons, No. 111, with burial in Chico, his former home.
