CLAUDE WILLIAM LEWIN
Claude William Lewin, a long time resident of Novato, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001. He was 86.
Born in Comstock, Michigan on March 14, 1914, Mr. Lewin served in the Navy during World War II. He was a self-employed electrician and businessman for 45 years and owned House of Fans in San Francisco.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, stamp collecting and visiting with his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by Ann, his wife of 35 years.
He is survived by his daughter Claudia Falls of Vancouver, WA, his sons, Stephen Lewin of Portland and Charles Cortesi of Novato; his sister, Lilas Thomas of Illinois; his nephews, Bill Lewin of Sacramento, Gene Lewin of Fair Oaks and Gary Lewin and Jimmy Lewin of the Bay Area.
He was laid to rest at Golden Gate National Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 23, 2001.
