ADRIEN H. MORNEAU

A Mass of Christian Burial for Adrien H. Morneau of Fairfax will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Rita’s Church in Fairfax.

Morneau died Sunday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 71.

A native of Greenville, N.H., Morneau moved to Fairfax about 10 years ago. Before his retirement, he worked as an assembler in a General Electric plant in Massachusetts.

He was a member of the Goldenaires and the Whistlestoppers, both in San Rafael.

Morneau is survived by his wife Gladys, two daughters, Estelle Leppanen of San Francisco and Barbara Morneau of Fairfax and four sisters, Leonie Francoeur of East Hampstead, N.H., Juliette Trainque of Fitchburg, Mass., and Sister Jean Morneau and Sister Theresa Morneau, both of Putnam, Conn.

The Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.

The family prefers memorial gifts to the Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael or St. Anthony’s Dining Room in San Francisco.
