DOUGLAS MENNIE
Douglas Mennie of San Rafael died Saturday at a local hospital. Arrangements are being handled by N. Gray & Co. in San Francisco.

A private service was held for Douglas Mennie of San Rafael.
Mennie died Saturday in a local hospital following a long illness. He was 80.
A native of San Francisco, he lived in that city until last year when he moved to Marin County. He was a survivor of the 1906 earthquake and fire.
Mennie worked in the insurance business for 50 years and was employed by the Industrial Indemnity Co. at the time of his retirement.
He was a 60-year member of Mission Lodge No. 169 of Free and Accepted Masons and belonged to the Knights Templar and Islam Temple Shrine, all in San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; one son, Ian Douglas Mennie of San Francisco; a daughter, Jean Mennie Hill of South Bend, Ind.; his sister, Grace Mennie of San Francisco; and four granddaughters.
