ESMOND G. MONROE
Private services will be held Friday for Esmond G. Monroe of San Anselmo.
Monroe, 54, died in a San Francisco hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Santa Rosa, Monroe had lived in San Anselmo for the past 54 years. He and his wife Lois celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1974.
Before his retirement, Monroe worked as parts manager for the Tacchi Brothers automobile repair service in San Rafael.
Monroe was a member of the Ross Valley Players and a 59-year member of the Santa Rosa Masonic Lodge. He was an Army veteran of World War I (sic).
Arrangements are being handled by Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
