JANE K. GUTHERIE
A funeral service for Jane Kirk Gutherie of Bolinas will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo.
Miss Gutherie died Tuesday in a local convalescent home following a lengthy illness. She was 77.
Though born in San Francisco, Miss Gutherie’s family moved to Ross when she was an infant. She attended school in Marin County and then the Stanford Medical School in San Francisco where she graduated as a nurse.
She worked in Monterey County as a public health nurse until the 1950s when she returned to Marin to live in Bolinas.
She is survived by her brother, James L. Gutherie of Colfax.
