Death Calls For Major Thos. Taylor
Funeral services for Major Thomas F. Taylor, who passed away at his home here Sunday were held yesterday in San Francisco and burial was made in the National Cemetery.
Death followed an illness of several months and the chances for recovery were slighter owing to the age of the deceased, 73 years.
He had lived here for more than 25 years and was highly respected.
A Civil War veteran, he was an enlisted man, serving with the 7th Regiment of New York, and through gallant conduct and meritorious service her rose to a majorship.
For many years he was associated with the Board of Fire Underwriters of San Francisco, maintaining his home in San Rafael.
He is survived by a widow,Mrs. Anna P. Taylor, and a daughter, Barbara M. Taylor.
The funeral services were directed by Dr. F. E. Sawyer and were held by the George H. Thomas Post, G. A. R., of which the deceased was a member.
