Little Girl Loses Life Under Wheels Of Train
Little Ethel Mary Valley, six years old, met a sad and sudden death last Sunday in Mill Valley when, after being placed aboard a train by her mother, the latter was unable to follow her and the child leaped to her death beneath the wheels.
The child’s head was decapitated.
Mrs. Valley, wife of John Valley, who formerly conducted a leaning and dyeing place in San Rafael, had spent the day in Muir Woods with her four children. Returning to Mill Valley, she had placed all the children aboard the train when the accident occurred. Before Mrs. Valley could step aboard, the train moved away. The mother was distracted by the terrible accident and was treated by a physician.
