Wealthy Woman Dies Near Tocaloma
Mrs. Anita F. Sinclair, wealthy widow of Pinole, died suddenly last Saturday afternoon near Tocaloma while en route with her brother to her summer home at Monte Rio.
Seized with a severe headache as she was passing through this city, she stopped and obtained a bottle of soda water. According to her brother, she continued to grow worse, and just before the machine drew in to Tocaloma, he heard a groan and looked in the rear seat to find his sister dead. The relatives were informed and came to San Rafael immediately to take charge of the remains, which had been taken to Sawyer’s parlors.
Mrs. Sinclair belonged to the wealthy Fernandez family of Contra Costa county. Her brother, Dr. Thomas B. Fernandez, is a leading physician in Hercules.
