WALTER B. CORNELL
A rosary for Walter B. Cornell, 19, of Larkspur, a student at the University of California at Berkeley, will be recited at 8 tonight at Daphne Funerals of Marin, Corte Madera.
Cornell died Wednesday at a local hospital after he collapsed while jogging along Tennessee Valley Road.
Cornell, born in San Francisco, was a lifelong resident of Marin.
He was a graduate of Marin Catholic High School and St. Patrick’s grammar school in Larkspur. He was a member of the California Alpine Club and had served as chairman of the club’s youth committee.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Cornell of Larkspur, and a brother, Brian, a student at California Polytechnic Institute.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Church.
