Old Resident of San Rafael Passes Away
Mads Christian Madsen, for many years a resident of San Rafael, passed away at Stockton last Sunday at the age of 85 years.
For a number of years during his residence here he lived with one of his sons, Martin Madsen, on Petaluma avenue. A native of Denmark, by profession he was a school teacher. He had been in this country and state for a great many years. His wife passed away several years ago.
Besides his son, Martin, he is survived by another son and daughter, Hans and Mrs. Vrang.
The funeral was held Tuesday from Dr. F. E. Sawyer’s parlors and burial was made in Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
